Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) lost 8-7 to Jill Shumay (Maidstone, SK) in the Final of the Saskatchewan Scotties, held January 23 - 27, 2013 in Balgonie, Saskatchewan.

Lawton finished 5-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawton defeated Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK) 8-5, then won 9-3 against Saskatchewan's Deanne Miller-Jones and 8-3 against Mandy Selzer (Balgonie, SK). Lawton won 7-2 against Saskatchewan's Candace Chisholm, then won 7-5 against Chantelle Eberle (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Saskatchewan Scotties, Lawton take home 7.200 world rankings points, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 309.535 total points. Lawton ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 176.200 points earned so far this season.
