Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) won 7-2 over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in the Final of the Swiss Cup Basel, held October 1 - 4, 2015 in Basel, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Gushue won 8-2 over Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2015 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 5-2 over Rasmus Stjerne (Copenhagen, DEN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland;

Gushue finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue lost 8-5 to Markus Hoiberg (Oppdal, NOR), then responded with a 9-2 win over Yves Hess (Zug, SUI). Gushue won 6-4 against David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO), then won 7-0 against Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI) and 7-1 against Rasmus Wrana (Harnosand, SWE). Gushue won 9-1 against van Dorp in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Swiss Cup Basel Championship title, Gushue earned 51.898 world rankings points along with the $18,948CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 606.804 total points. Gushue ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 224.904 points earned so far this season.
