Gushue lost 6-5 to Greg Balsdon (Ontario) where Gushue responded with a 5-4 win over Walker. Gushue won 5-2 against Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 29.057 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the StuSells Toronto Tankard, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 635.861 total points.
