Morris went on to lose 7-6 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB). Morris responded with a 7-1 win over Mark Kean (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Morris won 7-6 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB), then won 7-1 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) and 6-4 against Lyburn in their final qualifying round match.
