Jordan Chandler (Northern Ontario) qualified for the 2017 StuSells Toronto Tankard playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-2 against Brad Gushue (Newfoundland / Labrador).
Chandler finished 4-2 in the 20 team StuSells Toronto Tankard qualifying round, held October 5 - 9, 2017 at the High Park Club in Toronto, Canada. In their opening game, Chandler defeated Jean-Sebastien Roy (Chicoutimi, QC) 6-2, then went on to lose 5-1 against Gushue. Chandler responded with a 5-4 win over John Willsey (Ottawa, ON). Chandler won 6-5 against Roy. Chandler went on to lose 7-0 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Chandler responded with a 6-4 win over Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
Chandler earned 21.921 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the StuSells Toronto Tankard. For week 9 of the event schedule, Chandler did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Chandler ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
