Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) qualified for the 2018 Aberdeen International Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Alexander Baumann (Baden-Baden, GER). of the 2018 Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;

Brewster finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster lost 6-5 to Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR), then responded with a 8-4 win over Callum Kinnear (Perth, SCO). Brewster won 9-2 against Sebastian Wunderer (Kitzbuhel, AUT), then won 5-4 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.

Brewster earned 15.661 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Aberdeen International Curling Championship. Brewster move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 14.299 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 40th overall with 195.187 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Brewster ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 99.406 points earned so far this season.
