Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) run at the 2018 StuSells Toronto Tankard came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-2 loss to Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS). Bottcher advanced through the quarterfinals with a 8-7 win over Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT).

In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON) 7-1, then won 9-3 against Scott McDonald (Kingston, ON). Bottcher went on to lose 4-3 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Bottcher lost 7-6 to Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) where Bottcher responded with a 11-1 win over Retchless. Bottcher won 6-3 against Greg Smith (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Bottcher earned 31.056 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the StuSells Toronto Tankard, remaining in 12th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.746 after improving upon their best so far this season.
