Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI) won 7-3 over Maile Molder (Tallinn, EST) in the Final of the Tallinn Ladies International Challenger, held September 28 - 30, 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia. To advance to the championship game, Hegner won 10-3 over Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the semifinals of the 2018 Tallinn Ladies International Challenger in Tallinn, Estonia; and won 11-1 over Miia Turto (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Tallinn Ladies International Challenger in Tallinn, Estonia;
 
Hegner finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hegner defeated Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) 9-2, then won 9-2 against Maggie Wilson (Stirlign, SCO) and 10-3 against Alevtina Muraveva (Saint Petersburg, RUS). Hegner won 8-1 against Turto in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tallinn Ladies International Challenger Championship title, Hegner earned 18.530 world rankings points along with the $1,801CDN first prize cheque, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 69th place overall with 49.486 total points. Hegner ranks 51st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.530 points earned so far this season.
