In their opening game, Wang lost 6-3 to Klaudius Harsch (Fuessen, GER), then responded with a 9-8 win over Andrew Stopera (Chaska, USA). Wang went on to lose 10-4 against Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO). Wang lost 9-7 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR). Wang lost 6-5 to Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI). Wang lost 6-2 to Tyler Tardi (Langley, CAN). Wang lost 8-3 to Daniel Berggren (Sveg, SWE). Wang lost 6-4 to Matthew Neilson (Naseby, NZL) where Wang responded with a 8-6 win over Luca Rizzolli (Cembra, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Wang earned 2.640 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Wang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wang ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
