To advance to the championship game, United States's Rich Ruohonen won 6-3 over Tyler Tardi (Surrey, BC) in the semifinals of the 2020 Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic presented by The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen in Tempe, Arizona, United States; and won 5-2 over Andrew Symonds (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals.
 
United States's Rich Ruohonen finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, United States's Rich Ruohonen defeated Bob Leclair (Tempe, AZ) 6-4, then won 7-1 against Mike Siggins (Tempe, AZ) and 9-3 against Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC). United States's Rich Ruohonen won 7-2 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC), then won 7-6 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
