Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Karuizawa, JPN) lost 6-3 to Ryo Ogihara (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup, held June 15 - 16, 2019 in Morioka, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Yamaguchi won 8-1 over Naomasa Takeda (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals

Yamaguchi responded with a 11-2 win over Suguru Tsukamoto (Kanagawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup, Yamaguchi take home 7.770 world rankings points along with the $615CDN prize.
