Anders Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) finished 1-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Westerberg lost 6-2 to Simon Granbom (Gavle, SWE), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Niclas Perem (Gothenburg, SWE) where Westerberg responded with a 9-1 win over Jonas Eden (Gothenberg, SWE). Westerberg went on to lose 8-6 against Thomas Nordgren (Falu, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Westerberg earned 1.313 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Westerberg did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Westerberg ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
