Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NONT) qualified for the 2023 KW Fall Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-2 against Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI). of the 2023 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada;

MacEwan finished 3-2 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacEwan lost 8-2 to Hayato Sato (Sapporo, JPN), then responded with a 7-6 win over Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON). MacEwan went on to lose 8-5 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA). MacEwan responded with a 6-4 win over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON). MacEwan won 8-6 against Sato in their final qualifying round match.

MacEwan earned 9.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the KW Fall Classic, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 116th place overall with 29.125 total points. MacEwan ranks 51st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.000 points earned so far this season.
