Walter finished 3-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter defeated Wiebe 6-3, then won 2-0 against Calvert and 5-3 against Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the MCT Championships, Walter take home 8.250 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 79th place overall with 40.079 total points. Walter ranks 72nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.813 points earned so far this season.
