Peterson finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN) 8-2, then won 8-3 against McMakin. Peterson went on to lose 9-6 against Anderson. Peterson responded with a 8-3 win over Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the CURVE US Open of Curling - Championships Championship title, Peterson earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $4,040CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 9th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 283.250 total points.
