Jacobson finished 2-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobson defeated Hartung 5-2, then won 10-6 against Knapp in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Great Western Brewing Bonspiel Championship title, Jacobson earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 60th place overall with 73.375 total points. Jacobson ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.000 points earned so far this season.
