Pat Simmons (Davidson, SK) run at the 2010 Point Optical Curling Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-6 loss to Dave Elias (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2010 Point Optical Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; Simmons advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-2 win over Don Walchuk (Edmonton, AB).
 
Simmons finished 3-0 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Simmons defeated Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) 6-2, then won 6-3 against Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) and 5-4 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
