To advance to the championship game, Spencer won 6-5 over Deb McCreanor (La Salle, MB) in the semifinals of the 2012 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 8-6 over Sherry Just (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Spencer finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Karen Rosser (Springfield, MB) 7-2, then won 9-5 against Saskatchewan's Candace Chisholm and 5-3 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
