Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) won 8-5 over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the Final of the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, held September 28 - 30, 2018 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Dunstone won 8-2 over Tyler Klymchuk (Kamloops, BC) to advance to the championship game. of the 2018 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Dunstone finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Klymchuk 8-1, then won 10-1 against Deane Horning (Castlegar, BC) and 6-2 against Brayden Carpenter (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic Championship title, Dunstone earned 23.495 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 18th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.752 after improving upon their best so far this season. Dunstone ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 54.317 points earned so far this season.
