Harsch lost 8-6 to Tyler Tardi (Langley, CAN) where Harsch responded with a 10-5 win over Luca Rizzolli (Cembra, ITA). Harsch went on to lose 6-5 against Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Harsch earned 3.960 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
