Kitazawa finished 4-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitazawa lost 6-3 to Kim Rhyme (Minneapolis, MN), then responded with a 9-6 win over Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Kitazawa went on to lose 8-0 against Kim. Kitazawa responded with a 6-4 win over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB). Kitazawa won 9-3 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC), then won 6-3 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
Kitazawa earned 21.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the DEKALB Superspiel. For week 17 of the event schedule, Kitazawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kitazawa ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
