Bobae Kang (Jeonbuk, KOR) won 4-1 over Eunjung Kim (Gangneung , KOR) in the Final of the DEKALB Superspiel, held November 21 - 24, 2024 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kang won 5-4 over Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2024 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 5-1 over Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
Kang finished 5-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kang defeated Robyn Despins (Thunder Bay, NO) 9-5, then went on to lose 10-3 against Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, MB). Kang responded with a 9-7 win over Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB). Kang won 7-2 against Allie Giroux (Chaska, MN), then won 7-2 against Kim Rhyme (Minneapolis, MN) and 7-3 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the DEKALB Superspiel Championship title, Kang earned 37.500 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 17 of the event schedule, Kang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kang ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
