Spencer finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Karen Rosser (Springfield, MB) 7-2, then won 9-5 against Saskatchewan's Candace Chisholm and 5-3 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
