Peterson finished 3-1 in the 16 team DEKALB Superspiel qualifying round, held December 3 - 6, 2021 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Canada. In their opening game, Peterson defeated Jennifer Clark-Rouire (Winnipeg, MB) 6-5, then went on to lose 5-2 against Kayla MacMillan (Vancouver, BC). Peterson responded with a 7-0 win over Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB). Peterson won 7-2 against Hollie Duncan (Woodstock , ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Peterson earned 14.321 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the DEKALB Superspiel, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 28th place overall with 124.488 total points. Peterson ranks 38th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 57.343 points earned so far this season.
