In their opening game, Switzerland's Peter de Cruz defeated Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) 6-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Marcus Hasselborg (Harnosand, SWE). Switzerland's Peter de Cruz lost 9-7 to Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) where Switzerland's Peter de Cruz responded with a 8-4 win over Norway's Thomas Lovold.
