To advance to the championship game, Englot won 4-3 over Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON) in the semifinals of the 2016 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 9-6 over Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
Englot finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Englot lost 6-5 to Shannon Birchard (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 7-5 win over Margaretha Sigfridsson (Skelleftea, SWE). Englot won 5-4 against Briane Meilleur (Winnipeg, MB), then won 6-5 against Chantelle Eberle (Regina, SK) and 6-3 against Birchard in their final qualifying round match.
