Jacobs won 6-3 against Reid Carruthers (West St. Paul, MB), then won 6-4 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) and 8-1 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Jacobs went on to lose 5-3 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Jacobs lost 9-3 to Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
