To advance to the championship game, Farnell won 8-5 over Ontario's Julie Hastings in the semifinals of the 2011 StuSells Toronto Tankard in Toronto;

Farnell finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Farnell defeated Chrissy Cadorin (Hamilton, ON) 8-3, then won 10-3 against Ashley Waye (Toronto, ON) and 6-4 against Auld. Farnell went on to lose 7-2 against Kathy Brown (Guelph, ON). Farnell responded with a 7-5 win over Susan McKnight (Uxbridge, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the StuSells Toronto Tankard, Farnell take home 5.775 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 34th place overall with 36.335 total points. Farnell ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.075 points earned so far this season.
