Paterson responded with a 7-2 win over Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Paterson won 7-5 against Andrew Reed (Kent, ENG). Paterson went on to lose 8-3 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI). Paterson lost 7-3 to Edin in their final qualifying round match.
